Knit a Long...Come Join Us

Ok...I am so glad the new yarn came in! It accidentally shipped to the house instead if the shoppe. (Moving is so much fun!)
We have 5 new colors in the yarn we will be using for the knit a long from 3-5 PM. You will need 32" US 9s and only 1 skein...Here is another really cute picture of the cowl by your very own hostess...

We will be picking up on the Advent Scarf so that we can have it finished by Christmas...

The Advent Scarf Knit a Long begins at 1 PM.

Lastly...there are just a few spots available for the train trip next weekend and boy is it FUN!!

We will pick up the Advent Scarf Knit a Long from 1-3 PM

then slide into the Cowl Knit a Long from 3-5 PM.

 It is easy & fast...you will need 32" US 9 or 10 needles and 1 skein of a new yarn we brought in!

Did someone say 75% off?

Well...it has been quite a week of putting a shoppe together from nothing but a bare room. We have painted...laid flooring...baseboards...moved everything ourselves...rebuilt all the shelving...stocked yarn...decorated...reupholstered...reconnected... & rewired...
I can tell you right now...this could not have happened without all the help we received. It was nothing less than a tremendous blessing. So...a HUGE thank you for all your help, sweat, time, ideas & commitment to your shoppe. I am completely inspired and reinvigorated!

With that said...We are ready to open. Not only open but have a HUGE blow out kick off sale!
How does 75% off sound? We have boxes and bags of items we are moving out at ridiculous prices.
Sale goes until it's gone!

Today is the Day...

What a journey to get here...!

So here is the game plan for this nothing less than organized chaotic day...
The movers will be at the shoppe between 2-4 PM with the first load...anyone wanting to come and help with moving things around...come on down!! It will take two trips for the movers...so there will be reprieve in between and I am buying dinner!
We will have pizzas, salad and drinks!

So sorry about the link...that was really weird. I tried so hard to put the blog out before going to the shop for a full day of cleaning and setting up. I couldn't come home to fix it till now.
With that being said...there are A LOT of people wanting to go...the emails came pouring in...so...
if you want to make sure you are going...we will be at the shoppe working from 10-2 PM. You can bring your payment in then. We will go as a group of only 30 so stop by and see us!!

Train Trip to San Francisco!!

 Its time to go to San Francisco!!

Our 5th annual train trip to the city...crafter style.   The date has been scheduled for Sunday, the 14th of October. If you have not participated before...you just gotta go! Train, food, beverages, raffles, laughing, and PROJECTS!! Space is limited and the early birds get to go first!

It's Official!!

We are no longer homeless!! Yea!!
I am so becoming  student of 'Everything happens in due time"
With these darn kidney stones laying me horizontal for a few weeks I have had enough time to really rest and get slowly get back on my feet.
I wanted so badly to tell you all where we were going but without an actual lease agreement in my hand...it was pointless. We were in negotiations with three different sites before truly deciding where...
So...with no further adieu...I present...HOME!!

A parking lot with flowers

I like flowers...There is something wonderful about looking out a window and seeing color, texture, beauty and it really boils down to just life...I had really been on quite a quest to find the right location for our shoppe and taking into consideration all the reasons why it was necessary to move. Here are the things you are going to LOVE about our new location...

1. LOTS of parking...

2. LOTS of up front parking

3. LOTS of shaded parking

4. No near fender benders

5. Did I mention the flowers outside the window?

6. What about benches to sit on outside the shoppe?

7. Easy access from the 99 fwy.

8. Less than 2 miles away from our previous location.

9. One of my favorite tea shops within walking distance.

10. We hope to be open in 1week!!!

It's tomorrow...

Well I am on countdown to procedure time!

I have now decided with as much grief as these kidney stones (the twins) have caused me this week...
I am going to wear them around my neck like bear claws...just like my ancestors did! I will wear them proudly as if I have been to battle...
So say a prayer that the Dr can reach them this time and I get to come home with the twins...

SHOPPE NEWS...
We have nailed down the new location for the shoppe! Man I can't wait to tell you! It has such WONDERFUL features... It has TONS of front parking, lots of shade...a huge overhang for those rainy days, benches outside to sit on...super easy access from the freeway and places to eat very close by! This is so exciting...We will begin painting this week and laying floors shortly after...I will be posting the address VERY SOON!
I miss you all very much and can't wait to get back to work! We have so many things to talk about...With fall approaching you know what that means...

Feelin like a gidy schoolgirl!

I am so excited about tonight...

In my last blog I mentioned getting together tonight from 5-8 PM at Dos Coyotes while we are working on the new location...
I still can't say anything as to our whereabouts and it is killing me! I am the worst person at keeping secrets!! But I promise...we will be making an announcement very soon.
I miss you all and can't wait to see you. If you have not RSVP to let me know if your coming, please do so...we have quite a group meeting and want to make sure they can accommodate the masses!

It's TWINS!!

Well timing just couldn't be better! You know the saying "things happen for a reason?"
Well... that's the case for me!

As it turns out during this transition of moving the shoppe... I am having twins! I knew I was having one... but two? Oh, I tried to hide it as long as possible just so there wouldn't be a lot of chit-chat about it. But now... I am just gonna lay it out there for all to know.

I've seen the Dr. already and if all goes as planned... I will have them on Monday the 10th. I have even already named them...Carolyn & Chloe. When we open the new shoppe... I will bring them in for all to meet. I know meeting them will be a personal choice as some will probably decline. That's ok... I won't be offended.

We knew of 1 which has doubled to over an inch and the other one is I guess just a BONUS! SO with that being said the 10th is the big day. I'll need a few days to recover and then it should be back to business! Wish me luck!!

Today will mark the first day of a new beginning for Anna's Yarn Shoppe. Although it was lots of fun today with the music playin, the pizza eatin and LOTS of friends there to help pack...it was bittersweet. There are so many memories...7 years worth to be exact. I have be blessed with much to remember...laughter and tears...it is all precious.
And now... I'm so scared!...I'm so excited!
 I feel like a little kid that is going to Disneyland for the first time.
Although this will be a time of transition and patience...I can't wait to get the shoppe reopened. We have so much in store and on the horizon its almost overwhelming. So...as soon as the lease is signed...there will be a flood of information pouring out to you! In the meantime...keep an eye on your email and facebook for all the upcoming news. Thank you for all your support...we can't wait to see you again!
